| Anime of the Week – Kokoro Connect |
 |
This series is breaking barriers of taboo in such interesting and hiliarious ways that I’m often left wondering exactly how I should feel about what just happened. I simply love its spark of creativity that gets me to think and laugh at the same time. |

Arcana Famiglia Ep. 4 Ah, that old storytelling catch-all amnesia. As childish as Liberta can be, conviction is what he needs the most. |
| SAO Ep. 4 All this episode established is just how powerful Kirito really is and we now know that criminals and a spirit of justice exist. |
| Kokoro Connect Ep. 4 Despite the “adultish” themes in this anime, I think avoiding those issues would be ignoring the elephant in the room. |
| Hagure Yuusha Ep. 4 Does it reflect badly on a story’s writing when it takes a big chunk of time out for rather unexciting small talk? |
| Dog Days 2 Ep. 4 Really, it’s OK to not freak out every time someone notices that a boy and a girl happen to have a friendly relationship. |
| July 30 |
Rinne 2 Ep. 4 Talk about having some heavy bargaining chips. When you’re holding the other side’s sister hostage, what are they going to do? |
| Total Eclipse Ep. 5 As good as this series is at providing us with a nice military drama, hero Yuuya and heroine Yui aren’t very likeable. |
| Hyouka Ep. 15 Ah, the spirit of mystery is returning and it would seem Oreki may have his role surpassed by the sleuthing of Satoshi. |
| July 31 |
Tari Tari Ep. 5 At this point I don’t know if Wakana is letting go and moving on or if she’s simply running away from painful memories. |
| August 2 |
H ga Dekinai Ep. 4 For all his pervertedness, Ryosuke is actually faithful and not so shallow as to be swayed by a girl with bigger boobs. |
| August 3 |
Natsuyuki Rendezvous Ep. 5 At first I was sympathetic to Atsushi, but seeing him screwing with Hazuki I’ve lost my respect for him. |
| August 4 |
Accel World Ep. 17 To have the episode end on a cliffhanger… I don’t know what to think—especially since next week’s focus is Snow Black. |
| Hagure Yuusha Ep. 5 I’m impressed by how this anime always manages to be smart and slightly profound while indulging in its ecchiness. |
